Q. Do you have a demo?

A. At the moment we have a demo for INTL 2 only. For the Visual FoxPro versions, you may try the product for free and return it within 30 days if you aren't completely satisfied or if it doesn't do what you need. See the next question for more details.

Q. Can we have an evaluation copy of the Toolkit?

A. Sure! Here's how it works: intl is a source-code product (it's 100% written in VFP, source included) so you can get an evaluation copy simply by ordering it. We have a 30-day money-back guarantee, so within 30 days you either send it back or pay the enclosed invoice.

There is really no other way to let you evaluate it because the source is rather important in deploying it. You may need to subclass, for example, and a demo couldn't provide that. this may lead you to think it's not flexible to the nuances of your application...

Q. What are the speed ramifications of using this Toolkit. Does it take longer to load a form when the Caption property is read from a table rather than defined within the object?

A. There is a run-time penalty, yes, dependent on the number of controls and the configuration of INTL. If INTL is configured to localize strings (caption, tooltip, statusbartext) only, then it's snappy. if intl is configured to localize strings, fonts, images, data sources, and currencies, then it's proportionately slower.

Having said that, INTL can be tuned. As it ships, for every lookup, INTL checks to make sure the lookup-table is open, that its order is set properly, and so on. If you are in a stable environment, you can comment these tests and make INTL quicker.

Q. Is it possible to have it such that two users logging into the same network using the same EXE file but one user's property is that captions to be in english whilst another user's property is German. Both read the same data tables etc, but one gets an Edit form (say) with English captions whilst another get the German captions?

A. Yes.

Q. Can I pay by credit card?

A. Yes, we accept MasterCard and Visa, and we also accept company Purchase Orders and, as mentioned previously, we invoice with 30-day terms.
