Q. Does INTL 3 work with VFP 5?
A. Yes, very well. They changed the ocpacity of containers, so you have to make a rather obvious and small change to the Tip-of-the-Day class in MSGSVC.PRG, but other than that, you should be fine. I recommend, however, that you upgrade because I don't support INTL 3 in VFP 5. See Upgrading INTL.
Q. What's the difference between INTL 3 and INTL 5?
A. INTL 5 is optimized for VFP 5 and uses new functions in VFP 5. INTL 5 also supports right-to-left writing systems such as Hebrew and Arabic.
Q. Yes, but do you support INTL 3 on VFP 5
A. No. INTL 3 is built for VFP 3, and INTL 5 is built for VFP 5. See Upgrading INTL.
Q. Can I use INTL 5 on VFP 3 applications?
A. No. INTL 5 uses some of the new VFP commands that aren't found in VFP 3.
Q. We have an application for use with Win 3.1, Win 95 and MAC which has market possibilities in other countries, especially spanish speaking. The app is in VFP 3.0. Is INTL help me?
A. Yes. INTL 3.0 supports the MAC version as well as the Windows version of VFP, and yes, it'll run in both Win 3.1 and Win 95/NT.
Q. Does INTL 3 support VFP 3 and 5?
A. INTL 3 handles VFP 3 and INTL 5 handles VFP 5. INTL is tuned to the version it supports. You can buy both versions for the price of one plus a nominal amount.
