Utilities for INTL

GOTCHAS audits and reports all occurrences of many potential localization problems in your application. For example, the DEFINE PAD menu command has PROMPT, FONT, KEY,and MESSAGE clauses, all of which tend to be hard-coded. Gotchas will report the exact locations of all occurrences of DEFINE PAD, and dozens of other commands and functions. Even if you don't use the intl toolkit, this utility will tell you where some of your international coding problems may lie. GOTCHAS.ZIP Version 1 (10k, April 4 1995)

Utilities for VFP

Message Services is now available in a Public Domain version. This version of MsgSvc has all the functionality of the one found in the INTL Toolkit except for the multilingual features. MSGSVC.ZIP (Public Domain) Buld 48 (61k, April 4 1995)

GENREPOX is a very cool report wrapper that gives you unprecedented control over your reports in FP and VFP available from Markus Egger.

GENMENUX 3.0a is a menu generator wrapper available from Andrew Ross MacNeill.

BuilderB is an extensible VFP Builder by Ken Levy. This website also offers a number of other useful tools as well as tip sheets.

The VFP FAQ, by William J. O'Connor, is an invaluable reference for Visual FoxPro developers.

Utilities for FoxPro 2.x

GENSCRNX 2.0 by Ken Levy available here.

The TABS driver for GENSCRNX, TABS.ZIP Version 2.6a (139k, March 15 1995). This driver creates tabbed dialogs from standard screensets in FoxPro 2.x. Requires GENSCRNX version 2. In a related Word document, Maurice de Beijer suggests some modifications you can make to 3D.PRG and TABS.PRG to improve performance.

Check out Maurice DeBijer's site for a technique that improves the performance of visual GENSCRNX drivers like TABS and 3D.

The GENX Help File for Windows, GXHLP.ZIP Version 2.05 (109k, March 5 1994). This documents GENSCRNX, GENMENUX, and the FoxPro 2.x meta data structures, all of which are immensely useful if you use FoxPro 2.x.

A great GENSCRNX site: http://jason.actgroup.com/genscrnx/default.html.
